Dear Friends:

Dr. Manoj Patel, 48-years old, father of three young children had acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blood cancer about nine months ago. He went through ATG treatment at the University Hospital of Philadelphia, USA. After the treatment, he developed Aplastic Anemia. He is currently going through chemotherapy and blood infusion weekly. Now his physician is looking through the database in USA to find a perfect match for bone marrow based on Manoj’s HLA profile. Because of the ethnic component of the HLA profile, unfortunately it is getting very difficult to find the donor in the USA. Someone from India would be a better match to donate bone marrow.

In December, University hospital of Philadelphia plans to run search for the match through THE MATCH. Indian Health Camp of NJ is looking to help Dr. Manoj to find a marrow donor. We are looking to hold marrow drive at temples in NY/NJ/PA areas as well as want to have a table at major cultural/social events in next few months.

Please have your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and social contacts, help in registering for marrow for Dr. Manoj Patel by clicking:

Your few minutes of time can save 48-years old Dr. Manoj Patel’s life in his complicated course of leukemia. Best ever gift for the Holidays.
